Ice in Greenland and Global Warming | save the world

Results of daily shows snow melting in the Greenland ice layer has increased every day.

Pelelehan saju monitoring of the layer of ice on Greenland is made daily with the Special Sensor Microwave Imaging radiometer (SSM / I), which is in the aircraft space Defense Meteorological Satellite Program. Dry and wet snow is visible as if seen for the first time. But the wet snow and freezing snow to the back, have a level of absorption of radiation rays of the Sun is higher, and only 50-60 percent to reflect the atmosphere. Meanwhile, dry snow, reflect back 85% of sun radiation. In other words, the snow melt will absorb 3-4 times the energy compared to the same dry snow. This will give a big impact on the supply of energy on Earth.

Snow melting in Greenland gives a very broad layer of ice that continue to diminish and the high seas and in the world. Some of the water generated from melting snow that also will flow into the glacier through the fault and fault-groove vertical hole (Moulin), and then reached the rock layer underneath and melubrikasi (lard, melt) layer of ice over.

Observation and studies conducted previously by Jay Zwally and Waleed Abdalati of NASA Goddard show, the melt water in the summer on the basic layer of ice can increase the movement of ice and caused the increase in ocean levels (high and inside) very quickly. This phenomenon will accelerate global warming.
